U.S. Mark V Navy Very Pistol

U.S. Navy Very Flare Pistol, WWII The Very Light pistol fires a red, white or green pyrotechnic
signal (10ga) into the air which burns for approximately 5 seconds. Used for signaling.
This set consists of pistol, web belt , unopened box of 10 lights (green) and two unfired white lights.
Pistol barrel has a slightly deformed lip on the bottom of the muzzle
and a few dings and wear marks. Looks like the barrel and frame are aluminum.
Clearly stamped: "R.F. Sedgley, 1944"
The grips are marked "USN" with a lanyard ring.
Web belt has a rust stain on the back side, some minor wear marks on the metal, otherwise mint. Dated 1943
Holster marked "Signal Pistol Holster Mark 5" on backside.
Box of Green Lights is soiled but unopened, wrapped in acrylic plastic. Dated 1941.
